Owen L. Allphin, DVM
Practice Owner / Veterinarian

Years in Practice:  23  /  Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, University of Missouri

Dr. Allphin (Owen) was born in California, moved to Texas at 10 years old and to SW Missouri at 17 years old. He was one of 10 children in his immediate family. His family always had a variety of animals including farm animals and pets. He was always known as the one who had a way with animals and that was part of what motivated him to become a veterinarian. He graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. He loves every aspect of veterinary medicine, but has a particular interest in surgery. Orthopedic surgery is of particular interest to him including knee and hip surgeries, but he also enjoys surgeries involving the eyes and ears and internal organs. His interests outside of the clinic involve his family (see info under Lisa), which started in 1988 as he married his soul mate, Lisa. Other interests include his work in the community as he is a school board member and very involved in leadership and administration in his church. He also enjoys slalom water skiing, and cycling.

Lisa Allphin
Practice Owner

Years in Practice: 23 / Education: Bachelor of Science-Business Management and Human Resources from William Woods University

Lisa grew up in Southwest Missouri. She married Dr. Allphin in 1988.She is using her new Bachelors degree in Business to handle the Human Resource aspect of Allphin Veterinary Clinic while serving as an overall business management consultant.  She is a favorite of the clients and jumps in and helps out wherever needed when she is at the clinic. When she's not helping at the clinic she's enjoying her six children, and new additions; Owen Lee (starting Veterinary School at Mizzou in 2013) & Kaitlin (Graduate of Columbia College-Bachelor Degree in Business, and College Basketball player) , Heather (Completed History Teaching degree at BYU in 2013) & Ryan (Completing a Geology Degree at BYU) , Aaron, Rachel, Ransom, and Jarom. She loves to volunteer at the local schools, read, walk, bike, and watch her children perform.

Sara grew up in Nebraska and moved to the local area in 2001.  She graduated from Reeds Spring High School in 2004 and moved onto Missouri State University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Business in 2010.  She is married and has two handsome boys, two dogs (Coco and Max), and a cat (Ben). She enjoys horseback riding, boating, playing with her sons, Wyatt, and biking.

Sarah grew up in the local area, graduating from Reeds Spring High School in 1999.  She also graduated from Cedar Valley College in Lancaster, TX in 2010 with her Registered Veterinary Technician Degree.  She has been our lead assistant/technician at Allphin Veterinary Clinic for over nine years.  She’s a divorced mother of a wonderful five year old boy named Jacob who likes to visit the clinic. She has two cats (Hercules and Oliver), one dog (Rocko), a bird and a fish.  She likes to paint, craft, and enjoy the outdoors.

Aaron has lived in the Reeds Spring/Branson West area his entire life. He is the son of the owners Owen and Lisa Allphin. He has worked in the clinic for most of his life doing different jobs such as walking the dogs in boarding and general maintenance work. He started working full time in the clinic at the start of 2016 as the Director of Public Contact. He has a beautiful wife, two dogs (Luna and Rex), and a kitten (Havoc).

Nicole (Nikki) grew up in St. Louis but fell in love with this area while attending college.  She obtained her Bachelors of Psychology from the College of the Ozarks in 2009. She also received her Veterinary Technician Degree from Jefferson College in St. Louis in 2012. She has one dog that moved down here with her from St. Louis.  She enjoys writing in her free time.

Teresa is a transplant from Southern California.  She has a Bachelor Degree in Animal Science as well Philosophy from Utah State.  She is working on her Masters in National and Applied Science from Missouri State University.   Her interests include observing animal behavior and Dressage riding.  She enjoys taking care of her dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, chinchilla and horse.
